As her children grew, Sandy returned to nursing as an intake/detox nurse at Community Healing Center, formerly Gateway Villa, a residential substance abuse treatment center. These two careers taught her empathy, patience and a genuine concern for others which are so important in dealing with clients as they approach or are already in retirement.
